It seems the Dark Heresy core rulebook PDF has been removed from both DriveTHRUrpg and RPGnow somehow.

Is it no more available for download, or are there any chance to get again in the future?

I take it you've not read the Dark Heresy PDF post then? ;)

The PDF is basically the FFG print of the rule book so it's just got the first errata.

Is the errata included?

Fair enough. I have no experience with Battlemist so I couldn't say. Was it selling as well as DH seems to be?

Maybe that's the key. If it isn't selling to expectations (as it seems WFRP 2E wasn't) then maybe that's when they decide to turn it into a bigger box set with lots of fiddly pieces...just a thought...

@ MDMann

I was just making a joke about the Haarlock and Ascension books not coming out because DH 1E is being axed. Was trying to come across as a drama queen and people took me seriously.

All you need to do is look at the 'upcoming' section to see those books are on their way.

Serves me right. Clearly hysterical carrying on does not translate well in text.

Ah well...

@ Trashcanfun

I'm certainly not saying that pdf files of your favourite games are a bad thing. I myself have downloaded a heap of stuff from DriveThruRPG so I'd be a bit of a hypocrite if I did. It was just a joke about WFRP 2E's demise, which was pre-empted by the pdfs becoming available.

Maybe I need to cackle like a loon (in text) before I try to do the funny online...

Ominous. I'm ... concerned. However, I could see viable reasons to do this without axing DH. We'll just have to see.

On the bright side, I'd be suprised if this ended the Haarlock trilogy and Ascension lines even if the worst does come to pass.

I don't know what everyone is worried about. Obviously there's a demand for PDF's and FFG is just responding to the consumer's request.

I really think they should adopt a model like Paizo has though. You can't really beat the "buy the book and get the PDF for a marginal add on fee".

The "fixed" Battlemist and it wasn't broke.....
...just saying

FFG really needs to take a step back tho and see how the games that work in the Board Game industry are not complex games. They are simple games with many options and strategies available. QUIT redoing games with the image that you think they needed to be made. Keep the changes simple and effective like the ones for Talisman, Arkham, Runbound 2nd, Cosmic Encounter.

*Laughs* Can't wait to see how they "fix" Descent or Arkham Horror when the time comes.

Yeah, I was trying to do the funny too, hence the smily. Lost in translation I guess.

I don't honestly think they're going to trash this edition as, from my understanding, it is selling REALLY well. So if it ain't broke, why fix it?

Thank you!!!

Just thought that I would come out of the woodwork and say "Kudos, FFG."  While I'm not aware of the business rationale that has prevented this before, as someone whose lifestyle dictates that PDF are the only viable source, this is a good move forwards.  My copy of Dark Heresy is moldering at the bottom of a bag in the closet, but with a PDF version I might be able to actually get the time to read through it.
