Turn the Weapons of the Enemy Against Him... 12
The Radical's Handbook is now on sale
Dark Heresy | Published 19 November 2009

The Radical’s Handbook, the much anticipated sourcebook for Dark Heresy, is now available at your local retailer and through our webstore!

Radical Inquisitors turn away from the path of the Puritan and rely upon tools that most of the Inquisition (and other organisations of the Imperium) consider blasphemous. Heretical allies, alien technologies, and daemon weapons of Chaos are but a few of these instruments chosen by Radicals who believe that the end always justifies the means.

This brand new sourcebook for Dark Heresy contains new rules, new (and dark!) background and career options, and forbidden gear. It is an excellent resource for both players and Game masters who wish to tread the forsaken path of the Radical.

Within the pages of this tome, you will find additional rules for sorcery, tainted psychic powers, and heretical technology developed by Radicals of the Calixis Sector. Whether you and your Acolytes prefer to destroy the Radicals or join them in their path to damnation, this sourcebook provides all you need to do both.

Brave the dangers of the galaxy to get to your local retailer, or visit our webstore, to acquire your copy today!

Dark Heresy is a roleplaying game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, a setting in the grim darkness of the far future. Players take on the roles of Acolytes serving the Inquisition, rooting out heresy and corruption from within the galaxy-spanning Imperium of Man.

I am in the US and as of this moment (early morning 01DEC09) my copy still has not shipped from Amazon. Last estimated ship date was 30NOV09, so maybe later today I will get a happy e-mail?

As easy as it is to all the blame on FFG, keep in mind that the production for this stuff is rather awkward:  FFG has to write and organize the material then ship it off to GW for review and approval, then GW has to send it back to FFG with "keep this, change that" notes all over it, THEN FFG re-writes it and hopes the artists don't miss their deadlines or get shot by a Commisar for failing to meet a schedule...

Then it goes to a printer who botches the first run and has to start over, then it ships to FFG, who turn it around and ship it to a distributor, who in turn sit on it for a week, pick their nose, jump on the boxes a few times, then eventually send 3 copies to a store that has 14 pending pre-orders.  WOOT!

Well Tkkkultist, i guess in canada you at least have direct supply lines by land from FFG. Be thankful you at least have an updated estimate.

We in the UK are still at the "wait and see when/if supplies get to your country" stage.

Yep, staff at Games Day UK being discombobulate by Dark Heresy: Ascension was quite disconcerting.

I have posted about the cancellation on Amazon, but to summarise:

1)  Amazon are currently seeking a new supplier for the Radicals Handbook

2) The line: "Our supplier has informed us that this item has been discontinued and is no longer available" has been agreed by Amazon staff to be wrong (I called them). To that end a clarification e-mail is in the works.

But both to Amazon, and FFG - this just isn't on. I can't just blame Amazon for this one, yet again FFG fails to communicate and get the word out there. There's got to be a reason this supplier has pulled out.

Oh, and Judge Devs: Amazon UK Phone Number: 020 7084 7911

I have to agree with Judge Devs on this one.

We all know Amazon get their delivery date estimates out of their arses, but for once they got one right!
Only to cancel it a day later...

Amazon are a pretty big company, with dedicated stores for different countries. Being a UK citizen, i buy all of my RPG supplies through them, rather than paying exorbitant shipping costs to buy directly from stockists such as FFG.

After the debacle that was Rogue Traders 2 month delay, staff at FFGs stall at GamesDay UK not even having HEARD of Dark Heresy: Ascension and now the bungled Amazon supplies of Radicals Handbook, i must say i'm losing what little faith i had in FFG.

Very nice! I hope my FLGS gets it soon (unfortunately when I asked them, their reaction was 'well, it's FFG, so we'll have to see how long it takes to get here'...). I'm in the Netherlands so I guess it'll take longer than for you guys in the States.

Any word yet on part 2 of Haarlock's legacy?

FFG's Distribution and release schedule continues to by an UTTER, UTTER disgrace. I am seriously sick of how bad you are at this, it is not hard, it is a basic fundamental of all retail!!!! DISCONTINUED!!! Pathetic. You test the loyalty and patience of your customers and fans too much.

But their products have been well worth the wait so far! For me, this is *the* product I've been after. Though I also wish this had been available from 1989, which is about when I learnt to read. Though the pictures would've been cool from maybe '84 or so...
