Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game | Published 01 October 2009

Prepare your defenses. The invasion has arrived. Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game is now on sale!

Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game, designed by award-winning designer Eric M. Lang, is a card game in which two players muster their forces, collect vast resources, venture out on perilous but rewarding quests, build and develop their kingdom, and lead massive sieges against heavily fortified foes. For a detailed explanation, check out our description page. Then, head over to our support page and check out our tutorial video!

Recently, FFG’s offices were invaded... and our employees turned out in droves to man the front lines. Proving that deep down we’re true fans, many employees waited in line to buy as many as four copies before hurrying back to their offices to discuss deckbuilding strategies.

The following day at lunch (and indeed every day since) saw battle on a epic scale, as we met in the warehouse, break areas, and anywhere a table could be found to test our mettle.

Get in on the fight! Visit your retailer today or head over to our webstore!

Warhammer Invasion: The Card Game is a card game by Eric M. Lang in which 2 players develop their kingdoms and lay waste to their foes. Each side is comprised of either the forces of Order -Dwarfs, High Elves, Empire- or the forces of Destruction -Orcs, Chaos, Dark Elves- as they seek to extend their empire to include the entire Old World.

3 copies of the Core Set will let you have a complete playset of the cards... but it will not necessarily allow you to build two decks fro two different factions without having to share cards (think Neutrals), and it certainly isn't enough if you want to build two decks for the *same* faction a bit further down the road. Most people will have no need to buy more than three sets (heck most people could probably get away with just two), but FFG employees are probably in the upper-echelons of gamer-geekdom and multiple decks from multiple factions is probably just too appealing to some of them.

I want marketing material to promote this LCG  system in Brazil, my Cyberboardgamecafe  invest in this game, and attract old players of Magic, we buy 4 boxes innitialy.

LCG is a great concept, I remember how many dollars spent to try complete the collection of cards of Vampire and Werewolf from Wizards of Coast, I never complete my decks, and I forget, and don´t play more CCG, I split off of these systems collectables.

Now with LCG line I can play again  a CG without spend absurds money, and have the same experience of CCG.

I hope the FFG can transform the other colectables card games in LCG system, Steve Jackson´s Munchkin is a perfect example the success is the LCG, actually Card Game Players don´t want buy and try the luck to find a rare cards, we want play the game don´t collect, and buying a complete core set, and expansions complete, will attend ours needs.

Great idea, great product, great design ,  I hope Warhammer invasion will be another great success.

and I have plans to distribute the LCG in Latin America, in english is a success imagine when we had in Spanish and Portuguese versions.

I prefer in english because it´s stimulate me to learn and improve my poor english, but one day I will be very proficient in english, and communicate better without  gramatical errors, or poor vocabulary.

Best regards to FFG and all collaborators, and I hope be a part of your success history.

When I read 4 copies, I thought to myself: it would be great for a draft game. Now I'm looking at my order for 3 copies and thinking....hmmm.

Hot dang!! <shaking fist at the sky> Curse you FFG!!

Any idea why someone would buy four copies?  I thought three was enough for a complete playset.

Great game - my only dismay is that Chaos is somewhat underwhelmingn in serious competition.  Hopefully it'll be tweaked down the road.
