FFG is proud to announce Talisman: The Frostmarch!
Talisman | Published 03 September 2009

The chill is enough to freeze your blood!

In the distance a frozen continent of ice dominates the expansive horizon. It is the Frostmarch, brought here across the northern waters by the Ice Queen. Armed with the fabled Crown of Command, she is transforming the realm into a desolate, frozen wasteland. Arrayed before her are adventurers of all shapes and sizes.

This fall you will be forced to overcome the raging storms and strange creatures that inhabit this bitter land. Aiding you in this are four new characters, 20 new spells, and 24 new Warlock Quests! Standing in your way are over 80 new adventure cards and the exciting new Alternative Endings - one of which is the terrifying battle with the Ice Queen herself! Will your blood freeze when you behold the Ice Queen’s cold, cruel gaze?

Will you be prepared when the cold hits?

The Frostmarch expansion offers players 4 new character cards and plastic figures, 84 Adventure Cards, 20 Spell Cards, 24 Warlock Quest Cards, and 3 Alternative Ending Cards – including a final climactic battle with the Ice Queen!

Talisman is a classic game of adventuring. Your character journeys through the lands in search of the powerful Crown of Command. Take control of one of 14 different characters from a powerful Troll to a magical Druid.

Hi Cvetko1987

This expansion does not contain a board.

But maybe we get the Mountain expansion in the future, that has a cold place:)

I agree with khsmith, about that Valkyrie and Barbarian characters will fits the most for a cold region:)

I can't wait to take a peek at the Leprechaun character card:)

This looks fantastic....just wish they had ed a version of the Valkyrie and Barbarian characters, since they seem more in keeping with a "frost" environment....unlike the Leprechaun.

Now that the Frostmarch expansion is coming, i hope that the next big expansion will become the Mountains:)

I pray that the big castle of the Ice Queen is still in the mountains:)

She must live somewhere you know, but she left her castle to take the crown of command in the inner region..:)

I am so looking forward to it !!

I'll second the request for an actual release date (For that matter, I'd like to see one for WFRP 3.0 as well). While I can't deny that I'm anxiously biding my time until the next large expansion with another "corner board" is released, I'm really looking forward to this one. The alternative victory conditions sound promising, as that overcomes one of the perceived drawbacks of Talisman for many, and the new Warlock Quest cards are intriguing.

I'm going to have to take out a loan for all of the FFG product I'm going to be pining for over the next few months. But this one's just a ding. I think I might be able to sneak it past the wife's notice ;-)

If they don't screw up the cards (or characters), nothing can go wrong with this.
