You can also bring your friends and split the decks from one Core Set amongst yourselves. FFG staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions and prizes will be awarded to the top placers.

The tournament will be paired randomly in the first round and from there proceed through double elimination until we have a winner.

Call of Cthulhu Gen Con League

Would you like to meet other Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game  players to play games with over the weekend but not ready to commit to the larger tournaments? Then look no further than the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game Gen Con League, starting at Noon on Thursday, August 13th at FFG HQ in the Card Game Hall (Hall F).

The way the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game League works is simple:

Show up at FFG HQ with a ticket for the event, or a generic ticket, and you will receive a ribbon that you can attach to your Gen Con badge, plus ten exclusive league tokens. Over the course of the Gen Con weekend - Thursday, August 13th to Sunday, August 16th - find anyone wearing a league ribbon and challenge them to a friendly match. (Be polite! Don't challenge anyone while they're eating or participating in another game, for example.) If you win the match, you can take a league token from the other player. You may not challenge the same player twice in a row - try to play everyone in the league if you can!

You may do this as many times as you like during Gen Con and at 11:00AM on Sunday, August 16th, come to FFG HQ and the person who has collected the most league tokens will win a special prize!

The Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game Gen Con League is a great opportunity to meet other players and to get some experience playing the game in a friendly and casual way while you're at Gen Con.

Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game Gen Con League Deckbuilding Rules: Decks must be a minimum of 50 cards, not including Domain Cards and Story Cards, and may only consist of cards from the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game Core Set, Mountains of Madness Asylum Pack,Ancient Horrors Asylum Pack, and any Asylum Pack from the Summons of the Deep expansion. A deck can contain no more than three copies of any card, by title.

We will also be running small League Tournaments on Friday 8/14 at 7:00pm and Saturday 8/15 at 7:00pm if you are looking for a slightly more competitive environment.

Tournament Rulings

All rulings made by the Tournament Organizer running the event will be final, using the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game rulebook and the most recent FAQ update available, found on the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game Support Page.

All this and more awaits at this year's Gen Con! We'll see you there!
