Radical Visions Part 2 18
The second art preview for The Radical's Handbook
Dark Heresy | Published 30 June 2009

Greetings Dark Heresy fans!

This week concludes the art previews for The Radical’s Handbook, a new sourcebook for Dark Heresy that delves into the depths of the Radical factions of the Inquisition. These passionate servants of the Imperium stray from the Puritan path to take up the tools of Chaos, Aliens, and Heretics to use against them. Below, you will find a selection of images from this book to help illustrate this concept.

First, we have an image of a Heretek, steeped in the arcane mysteries of Tech-heresy.

Second, we have an image of a shadow operative in the Radical factions.

Third, we present a glimpse at a Calixian faction of Radical Inquisitors known as the Phaeninites.

Fourth, we have an image of a Radical Throne Agent caught between two masters.

Last, we have an image of a Radical Inquisitor carrying out an execution of an Acolyte who simply knew too much...

The Next Step
In future installments, I will be delving into the shadowy corners of The Radical’s Handbook to provide a few more clues and details about the contents of this massive tome. Until then, may the light of the Golden Throne show you the way!

Dark Heresy is a roleplaying game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the grim darkness of the far future. Players take on the roles of Acolytes serving the Inquisition, rooting out heresy and corruption from within the galaxy-spanning Imperium of Man.

Yeah, I agree. This news article is about ARTWORK. NOT rules(which, I'm pretty sure there is a sizeable ammount. And when they want you to see some of it, I'm sure they will.) I think impatience breeds frustration, sometimes. And frustration sometimes leads to anger. But I will take this article for what it IS...a nice bunch of Dark Heresy pics that were not here yesterday. Thanks Ross, and I look forward to any future info on these and any other future publications.

The average RPG sourcebook contains a single quarter-page piece of art every four pages, on average. What we've seen is a grand total of two small previews so far is enough to cover that average for 40 pages...

Assuming the book is 128 pages long (a low estimate, to be on the safe side), that means that we've seen enough art to fill maybe a third of the book, which works out as maybe two and a half pages of content so far... less than 2% of the book by page space.

I think it's a little early for snotty comments and overdramatic declarations of dislike for the entire product.

I am still holding out for something for the Xenos Hybris, namely a playable xenos.

Yeah, Ross, thanks for saving me some money. I was under the mistaken impression that this was going to be a rule book, not an art book.

You will let us know if you're going to produce more rules supplements for Dark Heresy?

Some of the illo's titles seem kinda silly &,  women ops with stilettos??  Another geeky dream fulfilled, I guess.

First Option, they now have showed my any "big picture" in the book

Second Option, the whole afair is more "art book" then "rule book".

Anyhow, while the first series was interesting, this one is not. At least not to me
