Just recently bought this expansion pack, for only $30, and the boards are excellent! The buildings especially, look much more realistic, and the streams also. I like the richer and more varied detail, and with painted units, I think I have the perfect combination of the visual quality of minatures, but without all the setup time required for full 3d components. Thanks FFG, and I appreciate the effort, and hope that you will continue to offer additions, and maybe some additional units like Hummel, and M7 priest mobile artillery, Pumas, and armored cars, a Katusha rocket truck, a towed 105 artillery piece,  a Flakpanzer, and Nebelwerfers.

I don't mind saying Stonemason has a point with #1 - the unbalanced scenarios are really annoying.

>1. Many of the scenarios are unbalanced and are not all that interesting. More play testing should have gone into it.

The balance is often overemphasized.  Yes, the base set has some poor scenarios.  There's lots of great scenarios too, particularly in the expansions.

>2. The way you install and pull out the miniatures from their bases is a good concept but eventually the plastic nib at the bottom will snap off . Then what? A new design is needed to fix this problem

My set has hours and hours and hours of play; I've never seen this happen one time.

>3. Some rules just don't make sense and either you accept them the way they are or adopt house rules to compensate.

Pretty much true of any large, complex rule system.  Hard to know what you're talking about without examples.

>4. Also, one thing I've noticed is that why use normal attacks when suppressive attacks will eliminate the enemy much faster?

Er...huh?  Why would suppressive attacks be faster?  Most units are more resistant to suppression.  Units recover from suppression.  Suppression's ineffective vs. vehicles.  Either you're misunderstanding rules or don't actually have much game play experience...

>5. Those of us who bought the game now feel like we need to buy a new board so that the printing looks similar to the expansion boards. Why was the printing changed? Perhaps a new board should be provided free of charge to those who already own the game.

Yeah, that does suck.

This could be a great game but I have the same comments about it as many others who own the game.

1. Many of the scenarios are unbalanced and are not all that interesting. More play testing should have gone into it.

2. The way you install and pull out the miniatures from their bases is a good concept but eventually the plastic nib at the bottom will snap off . Then what? A new design is needed to fix this problem

3. Some rules just don't make sense and either you accept them the way they are or adopt house rules to compensate.

4. Also, one thing I've noticed is that why use normal attacks when suppressive attacks will eliminate the enemy much faster?

5. Those of us who bought the game now feel like we need to buy a new board so that the printing looks similar to the expansion boards. Why was the printing changed? Perhaps a new board should be provided free of charge to those who already own the game.
