'Til Death Do Us Part 8
A new Print on Demand expansion for Mansions of Madness is now available

“It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel-filling front that bore down upon us, crushing the frantic penguins and slithering over the glistening floor that it and its kind had swept so evilly free of all litter. ”
–H. P. Lovecraft, At The Mountains of Madness

It started out as a harmless boast in a quiet Innsmouth pub. But what seemed an unlikely drunken yarn will quickly become a living nightmare, as you and your fellow investigators set out to find the truth behind rumors of ghastly human reanimation! Can you solve the mystery behind these gruesome rituals, or will become their next unholy sacrifice?

‘Til Death Do Us Part is the third Print on Demand story expansion for Mansions of Madness! Designed by Tom Jolly (Cave Troll, Wiz-War), ‘Til Death Do Us Part tells a story of love, loss, and dark arcane rituals. Enlist the posthumous aid of an unlikely killer’s past victims... or you might just join them for eternity.

What is Print on Demand?

Print on Demand is an exciting process that allows Fantasy Flight Games to produce professionally finished cards on a made-to-order basis, which opens up new opportunities for expanding existing games.

This process (not to be confused with Print and Play), results in smaller print runs of professionally manufactured products, allowing publishers to provide fans with content that would otherwise not be commercially viable. If you’re a retailer interested in carrying our Print on Demand products, visit our Professional Zone website to learn more.

A well known designer

To offer insights into his goals for ‘Til Death Do Us Part, designer Tom Jolly agreed to share a few words:

My initial and continuing objective was to give the players a tense game experience immersed in Lovecraftian mythos. I'd had a horror story idea floating around in my head for quite awhile, featuring certain things that would allow human body segments to function independently.

With this as a foundation, I mined some stories by August Derleth (Lovecraft's protege) from The Watchers Out of Time to provide the ambience of the game. Can the Old Ones really twist the sanctity of marriage into horror? You bet. I'm hoping players not only find this expansion terrifying, but are sitting on the edge of their seats at the end game, when the balance of their fate depends on just how good their decisions are.

Follow the rumors

This gripping story expansion debuted at the past weekend’s Arkham Nights event, where lucky attendees got an early glimpse of its engaging mystery and satisfying close calls. Now, you can experience ‘Til Death Do Us Part for yourself. Learn more at our description page, then head to our webstore to place your order!

Note: Due to variations in the printing process, cards from Print on Demand expansions will be subtly different in appearance and texture from base game cards. For this reason, 18 of the 58 cards in this expansion are reprinted from the base game to retain a consistent appearance when shuffled, and 40 are unique to ‘Til Death Do Us Part.

Mansions of Madness is a macabre game of horror, insanity, and mystery for two to five players. Based on the beloved fiction of H.P. Lovecraft, Mansions of Madness tells a story in which one player takes on the role of the keeper, a malevolent force working to complete a sinister plot, and all other players take on the roles of investigators, the unlikely heroes who gather to oppose him.

I really just want to see more monsters and investigators. I'd be happy with an xpac of just them. :D

Any one notice that Forbidden Alchemy has the product code oMAD06? The last three POD releases have been oMAD2 to 4. I would say that we can expect a 4th POD release before the end of the year.

Interesting. I've been working on a fan-made scenario for Mansions that also features a familial theme. But mine is an attempt to inject that all-too-rare substance -- humor -- into the Lovecraftian mythos. It will be an unfortunate coincidence if my scenario ends up too close in feel to this one.

On the other hand, more is often better. Ordering this one now!

Already got my copy at Arkham Nights! I played 1 story with part of the design and it was great.

Man, they're really pumping these scenarios out.  I love it.

I haven't had any problems with the cards being damaged, but I guess I could see that happening.  At first, I was a little surprised that the cards weren't shrink-wrapped, but then I use the plastic bands anyway because I don't want to shuffle them in with the rest of the cards from the base game.

I have a serious complaint about the packaging of these things.

The way the package the cards could lead to serious damage. Instead of the crappy one strip of binding use bags like you do in the game. I am fairly certain they couldn't add that much to the price of these. Bags are very very cheap. But the way they are packaged now they frequently(as in all 5 that my local FLGS orded) came loose in shipping and the cards were just bouncing around in the plastic shell.

Or make the shell smaller so that it fits the cards better... either way.. there has to be an inexpensive easy fix for this.

Thanks for the great design and awesome games as always though and thanks for listening!
