The debut of Rune Age proved a smashing success at Gen Con 2011, earning praise from attendees who flocked to its demo tables before picking up their own highly-anticipated copies. And with its concurrent retail release, Corey Konieczka’s dynamic scenario-driven design has already redefined the deck-building genre for fans worldwide!
How to conquer Terrinoth
But for those who have yet to experience this exciting card game, we’re pleased to present this six-part tutorial video. Follow the link below to see a detailed overview of Rune Age, including examples of play for each of the four included factions.

Click the image above to launch the player,
or view the series in QuickTime.
You can also visit the Rune Age support page to view our video overview and download the rules (pdf, 4.9 MB). Then, head to your local retailer and grab your copy today!
Rune Age is a deck-building
game of adventure and conquest for 2-4 players. Set in the fantasy realm of Terrinoth (Runebound, Descent: Journeys in the Dark, Runewars, and DungeonQuest), Rune Age puts players in control of one of four races, vying for dominance in a world embroiled in conflict.
This tutorial is very well done and is something that I would like to see for all of your games eventually. Thank you.
THANK YOU, for the Quicktime versions!
Now if I could just convince you to do that with LOTR LCG ;)
I'll just add that this video is doing great things for the game. this is how companies need to present their games to the players and do away with those videos that don't show how the game is played.
You can download it with Internet Download Manager :)
It is sort of sad the FFG does not make these available for download anymore (like Warhammer LCG). I do not have the internet at home and it would be nice to use this 'tutorial' to teach my boys/brothers how to play using this rather then my own crappy description of how things should go.
I know, I know, I need to move out of my cave, but still it is sort of selfish to not allow people who are excited about these games the option to not have to be logged in to watch these. I was at Bear Lake the other day and was able to have my cousin watch the Warhammer tutorials and when we got back to the condo we played. Not an option wtih the Rune Age or LOTR LCG tutorials, bummer!
Is it odd you can download the overview video but not the tutorial video? Wish I could download it.
Got to say that this video made the game MUCH more appealing to buy.
I am from Poland. I wanted to buy this game at 8.08.2011 (Premiere day in Poland). At 11:00 AM every copy was sold. It wasnt available in any shop in Poland and still isn`t :(.
I don`t have my copy but i already need expansions :). Hope to see them soon.
I really like this game. I knew I wanted it going into GenCon, and the demo there sealed it for me. If you cannot get the FFG sleeves, the Mayday chimera sleeves work as well.
I bought the game at GenCon and while we did not play the game correctly - it seemed very promising. The video's really helped explain and flesh out the game turns and I cannot wait to give the game another play.
Did you guys notice that the "main rune", if curved & not all straight would make a dollar sign ($)?
Methos, you can see on the Product page that the recommended sleeves for this game are FFG's green type, i.e. Standard American sleeves.
