A man rode in haste from the fords, saying that a host had issued from Minas Morgul and was already drawing nigh to Osgiliath; and it had been joined by regiments from the South, Haradrim, cruel and tall. “And we have learned,” said the messenger, “that the Black Captain leads them once again.”

Heroes scouting the ruins of Osgiliath make a terrifying discovery: Sauron has secretly maneuvered a large army onto Gondor’s doorstep and now threatens to overthrow it. These heroes must cross the Anduin and warn Minas Tirith before it is too late!

With the forces of Mordor hard on their tails, the heroes will need to work together to survive Sauron’s vanguard and find their way across the Anduin. But it won’t be easy. The four-part quest for The Massing at Osgiliath pits your heroes against a brand-new encounter set, filled with deadly enemies, including the Black Captain of Sauron’s forces, the Witch King. The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is a cooperative card game that puts 1-2 players (or up to four with an additional Core Set) in control of the most powerful characters and artifacts of Middle-earth. Players will select heroes, gather allies, acquire artifacts, and coordinate their efforts to face Middle-earth’s most dangerous fiends. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Adventure Pack expansions to the core game.

Will this PoD be English only or multiple languages. If the first, are there any plans to release this and other PoD products with international partners at all?

Are the scenario and character cards in this event going to be paper PoD copies, or actual, honest-to-goodness cards? If they're real cards, I'll attend just to get them. Otherwise, probably not.

This is cool, but I'm more interested in support for the game. They stopped the previews dead and pushed an expansion back a month. A month ago I was very pumped about this game. I just wish they would keep us excited!

@vermillian There are events just about on the hour throughout GenCon... Each event has 4 slots, so you and your friend can sign up for the same event to make sure you can play together. I've already got my slot reserved and paid for.
@Emrad This is for GenCon 2011, which is in 2 months, which means this will be available in 3... Still within 2011.

That is this years not next years. Gencon is only 2 months away so they need to announce it now. Normally they give 3 months lead time for any announcements.
