Announcing the return of a classic Asylum Pack for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game
Call of Cthulhu LCG | Published 06 May 2011

A dark presence has reawakened in Arkham, Massachusetts' neighboring town of Kingsport. Investigators and sorcerers throw themselves from restless, nightmare-tossed beds, while cultists and servitors keeping sleepless vigil are driven to the heights of ecstatic madness...

Once again emerging from the deepest shadows comes Kingsport Dreams, another classic Asylum Pack in the Forgotten Lore cycle of expansions for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, returning in the third quarter of 2011!

Kingsport Dreams reintroduces to the Living Card Game environment this intriguing Asylum Pack, updated to the 60-card per pack format (3 copies each of 20 unique cards). The included cards have been updated to incorporate the most recent FAQ, which can be found on our support page. In addition, the text on a number of cards has been altered from its original printing to better fit into the current metagame, adjusting for game balance and rules clarity, making for an exciting and challenging gaming experience for both new players and veterans alike.

Time and Place

Take a tour through Kingsport's most interesting locales and meet its charming - sometimes literally so - denizens. On the streets of Kingsport you may encounter the seedy and rundown Rope and Anchor Tavern, hangout of the town's rougher elements, or perhaps the mysterious St. Erasmus' Home for Mariners. Each of Call of Cthulhu's factions will find someplace to call home in Kingsport.

Also featured in Kingsport Dreams are a curious cast of characters, including Sorcerors Thomas Olney and Mentor to Vaughn (designed by 2006 Call of Cthulhu World Champion Chris Long), as well as two new Ancient Ones, Nodens and Tulzscha, and doomed necromancer Charles Dexter Ward.

The town of Kingsport's darkest corners beckon; explore them in Kingsport Dreams, coming soon!

Based on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game takes two players deep into the Cthulhu Mythos where investigators clash with the Ancient Ones and Elder Gods for the fate of the world. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Asylum Pack expansions to the core game.

With all the trouble that Nodens used to cause, I find it likely that Nodens would be revised in some way. There are already lots of retconned examples of some of the older cards.

Ah, this has been one of my favorite APs!

I'm very interested to see the changes they made to the cards.

Well, time for the old auto-include of Nodens.  "sign"

It's a shame CDW doesn't have "CDW is insane!" anymore on the rules text, even though that did break the game rules in all exciting new ways until it crashed.
