Welcome back to the Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game weekly spotlight! The Twin Tailed Comet, the third Battle Pack in The Morrslieb Cycle, will be on store shelves tomorrow. But rather than previewing this exciting expansion, or even moving on to next month’s Signs in the Stars (the fourth Battle Pack in the series), let’s instead examine a card from Legends, the upcoming deluxe expansion.
Announced last month, the Legends Expansion features the most well known figures in the history of the Old World, and brings their power and influence to your Warhammer: Invasion deck. A legend is placed on the center of your capital board, and its power icons are split between the battlefield, quest, and kingdom zones, allowing it to contribute that power to all three zones at once. Since a legend lends both his kingdom power during the kingdom phase and his quest power during the quest phase, his presence is a significant factor in the rapid development of a faction’s war machine.
We’ve already seen a few legends, including Karl Franz and Archaon. Today, however, take a look at a legend that capitalizes on the emphasis on developments that’s prevalent in The Morrslieb Cycle: Kairos Fateweaver.
This powerful agent of change has a remarkable effect on developments, turning each one into a unit with two hit points and two power icons. Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game is a card game by Eric M. Lang in which 2 players develop their kingdoms and lay waste to their foes. Each side is comprised of either the forces of Order or the forces of Destruction as they seek to extend their empire to include the entire Old World. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Battle Pack expansions to the core game.
Can't wait to try this out...
A really powerful card...unless your opponent is playing mass removal and then you are totally screwed. Interesting though - and I love the Legends mechanic!
Interesting card but I hoped for something better.
Potentially very dangerous. But, if you build around this ability, a well timed Flames of the Phoenix or Smash go Boom can really throw a wrench into your plans.
