As we announced in October, we are now making BattleLore Core Sets and expansions available, starting today. While both the Core Set and the expansions have a French rulebook, all the cards and components are in English, with English rules available online as .pdf downloads on the BattleLore support page.
Charge into the fray and head to your local retailer to pick up a copy of BattleLore or one of the following expansions: Goblin Skirmishers, Goblin Marauders, Dwarven Battalion, Scottish Wars, and The Hundred Years’ War.
Look for a sticker that denotes the Core Sets and expansions as repurposed French editions that are fully compatible for English-speaking players.
Don’t miss out on your chance to pick up the BattleLore Core Set today!

Set in a world that bridges history and fantasy, BattleLore is board game that puts 2 players in command of a vast array of miniature troops on the battlefields of medieval Europe. Using the easy-to-learn Commands and Colors system, players can wage thrilling battles quickly!
Either FFG shipped all (except for two of the expansions) of the "repurposed" sets out to dealers or somebody dropped the ball. The FFG online store shows only two of the French expansions (Goblin Marauders & Scottish Wars) as available. Worse the Battlelore Products pages for the core set and all of the old (DOW) expansions now show a status of "Buy It Now" for everything; however clicking on "Buy It Now" for any of them, including the two availible at the store, gives an out of stock message. Fortunately I was able to locate the HYW copy I needed at a dealer.
I already received my repurposed Hundred Years War. It came with both the English and French cards, and the French-only rulebook, as advertised.
An interesting side note is that on the English Arbarlest weapon summary card, while all the text after the title is in English, has the title "Arbalestre."
I'm a little surprised that the rulebooks aren't also available as POD products, after making the Space Hulk: Death Angel announcement.
Hopefully FFG can get a Battlelore base set out on a more permanent basis after this.
I'm all in favor of getting games "back in print", but I have a feeling this isn't going to go over very well.
There are VERY few of these things available. I am a retailer and I got allocated only a QUARTER of the number that I pre-ordered from my distributor. So fair warning, there's not a lot of them out there.
