A Game of Thrones LCG | Published 14 February 2011

"The Conclave met in Oldtown behind closed doors, Tyrion knew; its deliberations were supposedly a secret. So Varys has little birds in the Citadel too."
- A Song of Ice and Fire, Volume III: A Storm of Swords

Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the next exciting Chapter Pack for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, Called by the Conclave! The third Chapter Pack in the Secrets of Oldtown cycle strengthens the Maesters further, as well as the Houses that the Conclave compells them to serve...

In the art it is almost as if the kneeling figure is flipping the Conclave the bird!

Alex, it wouldn't because in the game when a card mentions its own name in the text it becomes self-referential. The Conclave can only trigger off of itself, regardless of the number of The Conclave characters declared in the challenge.

Artwork on the card looks more like a Sith council meeting. Damn FFG for teasing us with the third chapter pack when the first one isn't even out yet (still at the printer? gah!). The card is really nice for a maester deck though, strength 5 for probably 3 to 1 cost (or even 0), depending on your board, plus deadly on intrique and power. Yum.

Nice card, I can see it being a beast in a Maester deck. Love the art on the pack too.
