Announcing an upcoming Battle Pack for Warhammer: Invasion |
| Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game | Published 13 January 2011 | Rating | 20 votes |

They had held the valley until, from the north, the armies of Chaos appeared. Massive, black armoured warriors with faceless helms and screaming swords. Ogres twisted and wracked with mutation, so powerful it took ten strong men to bring one down. And sorcerers on flying disks that burned their foes with multi-hued flame. Against such forces, there was no chance of victory. The Empire soldiers could only pull back, holding off their foes long enough for the inhabitants of the valley to retreat.
- From “The Twin Tailed Comet,” an included short story by Sam Stewart
As Morrslieb waxes full, and the forces of Chaos sweep down from the north, reavers threaten a caravan of refugees. Only a witch hunter, a wizard’s apprentice, and a handful of soldiers stand in their way. Can they stand against the dark army that opposes them, or will they become its twisted servants?
Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of The Twin Tailed Comet, the third Battle Pack installment in The Morrslieb Cycle for Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game! This 60 card pack contains 20 different never-before-seen cards designed to augment existing decks and add variety to the Warhammer: Invasion metagame.
The Twin Tailed Comet brings a variety of tactics, units, and support cards to your Warhammer: Invasion deck. The mighty Dwarf Daemonslayer can bear wounds that kill his lesser kin, while the Orcs’ Tribal Tattoos stand as a testament to their battlefield prowess. Meanwhile, the Celestial Wizard rains death on the foes of the Empire, and the Sorcerer of Tzeentch grows stronger for each shrine erected to his dark master!
The Twin Tailed Comet streaks across the night sky, contrasting against the pale green light of the Chaos Moon. Keep checking back for more on this exciting Battle Pack, and this spring, add its awesome power to your Warhammer: Invasion deck!
Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game is a card
game by Eric M. Lang in which 2 players develop their kingdoms and lay waste to their foes. Each side is comprised of either the forces of Order or the forces of Destruction as they seek to extend their empire to include the entire Old World. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Battle Pack expansions to the core game.
Well It is Tzeentch......the changer of ways........so He/She/ It can change the spelling of a word if He/She/It wants too......:P
@Ruvion: I don't contest the spelling, I just thought the inconsistency in spelling was mildly amusing. I have all the love in the world for FFG.
Besides being relatively cheap and powerful, the other good thing about it is that the unit is not a Hero. You can have multiple copies of it in play and maximize the damage.
Fantastic card, definitely seeing the targeted removal theme becoming more centralized for chaos.
Awesome card!
What do you think deamonslayers will be like?
I think something like, 3 damage, 2 toughness and 5 hit points
Thats a nice card.
I am assuming that other Resource tokens that get added to this Unit due to some Attachment Supports, get added into its awesome ability. Wow, this could go through the roof! Only 3 cost too! Cheers!
the sorcer...er's trait is spelt correctly by the way.
And what's in a name anyways?! :)
I just find it chuckle-worthy that the "SORCER-ER of Tzeentch" is a SORCER-OR.
I think this unit is a true killer and chaos becomes an ultimate sniping deck. Up from turn 3 we can expect this unit to count a kill every turn. Combine it with direct dmg spells and chosen of t. and playing two of these units? sloughter.
I like the card. Finally something interesting for Chaos!
It's good against everybody except Dwarves. Dwarves don't mind the killing so much since they can be reclaimed later.
@Zofan - yes if You will have "Light of Morrslieb" (neutral Support with 4 cost to play and 2 hammers, it's number is 60 so it will be avaliable in this battle pack). "Light Of Morrslieb" is a unique card thats let's You play an additional development from Your hand durning You turn. That could be a deadly combo!
@Rings - yes, finaly some Chaos Love!!!
