Paint the Town 8
Pre-painted Cadwallon: City of Thieves miniatures are available!

Welcome to Cadwallon, a city of vagabonds and outlaws of every kind. The Duke and his brave militia struggle to maintain order, but it is the mighty guilds and wealthy merchants who rule the city... and the most feared of these is the shadowy Guild of Thieves. You have joined the ranks of this infamous society seeking your own path to wealth and glory. Your tiny gang has been chosen to relieve the fat merchants of the city from a portion of their “excess” wealth. But there are many factions within the Guild, and yours is not the only band working in the district! In fact, your greatest challenge may not be the militiamen who guard the streets. Tonight, the gates of Cadwallon are opened, and the simmering of war between the rival guilds is palpable. The night is young, but once the alarms sound and the portcullises slam shut, only one guild can come out on top...

Are these miniatures gonna be a long term release or are they going to be "limited time only"?

I saw that notice, too.  Fortunately, I haven't purchased the game yet, mainly because I've been hoping the duke would become available.  I'll buy the lot if he does.

I passed on the painted minis because the Duke of cadwallon was offered only if you bought the base game and all the painted minis in one go at Gen Con.

I dont want to get everything only to have to buy it all again in order to get the promo Duke. I will buy them if the Duke is offerred for general sale and lack the sales requirement at Gen Con.

As shown in this announcement:

www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp

"Interested in the Duke of Cadwallon painted figure? Keep checking back for details, as we'll be making him available in the near future."

It seems that FFG plan on offering it in the future but have not detailed exactly how it will be made available. This is why I am holding off on buying the products considering how it was marketed at Gen Con.

I'd buy these, but only if or when the duke becomes available again.  Otherwise, pass.

I wish the game was getting better reviews on Boardgame Geek, though.

I like the price of these better than the Arkham Horror minis. If I was into Cadwallon, I'd be all over these.

Looks pretty and nice to see them in such large packs, I'm sure many people will be pleased with this.
