Announcing the Bearded Brave expansion for BattleLore
Battlelore | Published 03 September 2010

The first large contingent of Dwarves came to France in late autumn of the year 1419. Supplemented from time to time with volunteers, these troops became an integral part of the French army and the war against the English. By 1420, the “Army of Scotland” was a distinct force in the French royal service.

Fantasy Flight Games is excited to announce the upcoming release of the Bearded Brave expansion for BattleLore. Featuring four new Iron Dwarf unit types, Bearded Brave is the perfect way to expand your BattleLore experience and call upon the aide of the mighty Dwarves!

Bearded Brave comes with six different types of Iron Dwarf units, each with their own miniatures and reference cards to be used when fielding them in battle. From Bear Riders to Mighty Bolt Throwers, these Dwarves can either bolster your forces in pre-made adventures or can be recruited into your custom armies using the BattleLore: Call to Arms expansion.

With 40 new figures, 27 cards, and a rule book featuring 4 new adventures, the Bearded Brave has no shortage of new materials for your BattleLore games! Keep an eye on the horizon and watch for your short-yet-stalwart allies: the Iron Dwarves!

Stay tuned for a closer look at the Bearded Brave in the coming weeks!

Set in a world that bridges history and fantasy, BattleLore is board game that puts 2 players in command of a vast array of miniature troops on the battlefields of medieval Europe. Using the easy-to-learn Commands and Colors system, players can wage thrilling battles quickly!

FragMaster, not that this should alleviate all concerns, but this certainly does not mark all that DoW promised with the game ;)

Insta-buy!

Sounds like a great set. Looking forward to seeing the figures and what they do. I like these "army" packs quite a bit. Seems like a great way to start adding some extra races to the mix after this one.

Very much looking forward to this release first though - nice work FFG!
Cheers,
Ben.

Nice! I'll just buy this too. I'm more curious as to what the NEXT BattleLore announcement will be. I don't think that Humans need another Army Pack and I don't expect it. I actually expect to see something entirely new about BattleLore. I don't really care that much about new races but I'd really like to see Siege Rules and more Lore options, Lore cards, Loremasters or even Command deck customizations!

New armies are not bad but something completely different would be nicer!

P.S.  And there is this bleak scenario that this is the last BL expansion to come out since FFG has released everything that was promised by DOW. I hope that this is not the case.

Awesome! Love the dwarves! I'm excited about this set.

Still hoping to see Elves in Battlelore, but I'll gladly take more dwarves while I wait ;-)

Like the Iron dwarves much better than all the goblins that have come out...I might pick this one up...maybe...
