An update on War of the Ring: Collector's Edition |
| War of the Ring: Collector's Edition | Published 15 March 2010 | Rating | 16 votes |

Back in December, we announced that War of the Ring: Collector’s Edition would be distributed by FFG in two waves; the first wave was expected to ship by the end of winter, and the second shortly thereafter.
We’re pleased to announce that we have completed shipping of the first wave of this exciting artifact! All customers who were part of FFG’s initial orders should have received their copy of War of the Ring: Collector’s Edition by now.
Nexus Games, our publishing partner and the developer of War of the Ring, has informed us that we will receive the second wave of copies in early May, and we will begin shipping them to customers as soon as we receive them.
If you have any questions about your order, please contact FFG sales associate Rick Nauertz. Thanks again for your support and patience.
War of the Ring: Collector's Edition immerses players in the struggle for Middle-earth, placing them in command over the military might of vast armies, as well as over Tolkien’s most legendary characters as they decide the fate of the world, for good or ill.
@ Runehardt.
Did you play MECCG? That's probably the best card game I've ever played. Don't suppose that would be taken up by FFG, but I'd happily sell my soul in monthly installments to finance my habit if they turned it into a LCG.
And when should we expect a reprint of the usual version for the usual people? :)
Oh, man. If there was a Middle-Earth battle game that was compatible with a Westeros battle game... I think the moment Aragorn and Eddard Stark crossed blades, the universe would explode in a geek supernova, and then collapse into a nerd black hole.
That's not to say I wouldn't be all over a Middle-Earth "Battle of Westeros" style game.
An LCG would be good and well. A 'Battlelore' game like Westeros, set in Middle Earth would be awesome - triply so if there could be an expansion for the Second Age.
Cheers,
Giles.
A Middle Earth LCG would be AWEOME! That gets my vote too!
May cannot get here soon enough. Now if I could just convince you guys to launch a new LCG about Middle Earth and all its factions!
