More Than Was Bargained For 5
Announcing the latest Asylum Pack for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game
Call of Cthulhu LCG | Published 11 March 2010

I met the nearest monstrosity, a charging fungal blur of wings and antennae and appendages, with my fist. The thing dented, and crumpled to the cavern floor. A moment’s hope flashed across my mind as another nightmare came at me, but before I could react, I was enveloped in a terrible, freezing mist. All else reeled away, and there was nothing but cold.

– From The Specimen, part three of The Yuggoth Contract

Tyler Scindere was hired to do a job, plain and simple. But the dangers that face him now are anything but plain, and there’s nothing simple about the dark motives of his employers. Now, the betrayer has become the betrayed, and he’ll need every ounce of courage and wit he can muster if he hopes to remain alive.

Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the third Asylum Pack in The Yuggoth Contract cycle for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game!

The Spoken Covenant is a fixed 60 card Asylum Pack that contains 20 different never-before-seen cards based on the dark mythos of master horror writer H.P. Lovecraft, designed to augment existing decks and add variety to the Call of Cthulhu metagame.

Also included in this cycle is part three of a gripping new short story by Nate French. In the last installment, Erin Morai, a brilliant and introverted college student, met the mysterious stranger Tyler Scindere, and she soon found herself led into danger. Now, Tyler finds himself completing his contract, but getting far more than he bargained for.

And remember, The Spoken Covenant will adopt the versatile new collation format, meaning you’ll receive three copies each of all twenty cards in one convenient purchase! If you’re not yet familiar with this recent and exciting change, check out “The Best Just Got Better,” an article explaining the details, then get ready to enjoy Call of Cthulhu even more!

This spring, be careful who you trust...

. . .

Based on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game takes two players deep into the Cthulhu Mythos where investigators clash with the Ancient Ones and Elder Gods for the fate of the world. The Living Card Game™ format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Asylum Pack expansions to the core game.

@HomerJ: The point of 0 cost cards having Steadfast icons is to make it so you still need to be playing Miskatonic (or whatever relevant faction) resources to play the card, and can't just splash it into any deck.

@HomerJ:

It means that in order to play it, you'll need 2 MU resources among all resources on all domains.

I'm confused.  Why does a card with 0 cost have two Steadfast icons?
