Alcaran tried to warn you, but now the time has come. War is upon us. Either choose a side and take up arms to protect the power of the dragon runes, or count yourself among the nameless victims of the coming storm, who hide behind illusions of neutrality. For make no mistake, if these artifacts fall into the wrong hands, Terrinoth will be cast into a waking nightmare of perpetual suffering. Your caution will be of little comfort to you then, and the absurdity of your pacifism will become clear to you.

Designed by Corey Konieczka, Runewars pits players against each other in a strategic game of battles and area control, where they must gather resources, raise armies, and lay siege to heavily fortified cities.
Runewars takes place in the same popular fantasy universe as the best-selling board games Runebound and Descent: Journeys in the Dark, and dozens of fan-favorite heroes and monsters play their part. The wars for the dragon runes are beginning, and only one faction will emerge victorious. What would you do to claim the ultimate power?

We tried our first game yesterday and we all love it, there are some nice strategy quirks, the minis look great! and the set up was a little long but once you play once or twice you'll cruise right over that....THE SEASONS ARE AMAZING, with certain seasons things could destroy your plans of domination, or completely change your idea of what to do.... and combat is stream lined to work very well.... thanks FFG another one for the game Lair*
