We plan to play every character against every character eventually. We'll be like 80 when that happens probably, but it's a fun goal.
Let's see, if my math is right then after Dragon comes out there will be 43 playable characters. That gives 903 different 2 player combinations. If you play one game a week that should take roughly 17 years and 5 months, give or take a few months due to sloppy rounding on my part. That number starts going up dramatically with each set, so you might want to consider getting out the box. :P
Of course that is assuming you only mean to play each combination one time each. If you want to play each one twice so you can each be on both sides of the matchup, then those numbers are going to double.

Don't forget the promo(magazine) characters from Mephisto and FFG
If the Dragon expansion comes out, then we have 55 characters
We will play tomorrow our 14th game of talisman
I wonder who will win..
Maybe i will choose for the sacred pool ending this time..instead of dealing out a random ending card..
We played our 14th game today!
It was the Black Witch vs the Assassin
We have decide to play with the Sacred Pool ending.
I must say that the Black Witch is a very good character. With her ability of movement control,, she can land easily on empty spaces.
The Assassin was really unlucky in this game. He drew some nasty craft type enemies, as the Black Unicorn, and Heavenly Host if i am right..
It did not take long, and the Assassin died in the Outer Region.
I was smiling, because i knew how powerful the Assassin is.
He drew a new character, and it became the Warlock!
My Black Witch, was moving and moving along the Outer Region.
I decided to go to the dungeon, and my opponent was following me.
I knew that he was planning something.
When the Warlock landed on my character, he use Finger of Death, but i could avoid the spell with my ability. after that, he casted toadify on me.
Damn, i was shocked, when he did that. The spell has worked as normal, and i failed 2 times to avoid it with my ability, after using a fate.
The Black Witch with a total of strenght 12, became a toad next to the kitchen in the dungeon!
I was so lucky, the toad was very hunger haha.
I was moving back and forth, and she became normal again.
After i was moving further along the dungeon, the Warlock was following me again...
He challenge me to a duel, and again, he casted another Toadify on me!!
And the Black Witch failed to avoided the spell..
He has picked up already my Hunchback from the other combat, so he could easily land on me, and i was losing lives.
i could do nothing more, because i was for 3 full turns a toad.
The Black Witch died in the dungeon, and we declare that we ended the game
Nobody has won after 6 or 7 hours.
The Black Witch has completed all the 4 quest rewards,, so she should be the winner
But because nobody has won the game, i will not add it to the list of won and losing characters.
~Next time, i will take my revenge! ~
Maybe you should play my version of the Black Witch sometime soon!

Black Witch is pretty good as she is, but i underestimate my opponent with his warlock character.
Next time, i will run away from the warlock...
Dragon Priestess is my new favourite, after having played with her proxy. Her dragon flavoured abilities are not much of a hit, all I need is her being evil, having 5 fate, starting in the middle region and being able to perform a ritual.

I am sucker for the classic Wizard! Though that might all change when I get the Frostmarch expansion and have some fun with the Warlock.

We have play today our 15th game today
It was dark Cultist vs Dread Knight
ending: sacred Pool
The beginning of the game was pretty slow. Dark cultist has gain no gifts, because she did not encounter much enemies.
We have tried to complete our quest first. dark cultist got (visit the enchantress, kill a dragon, lose your next turns, and another one.
i have also tried to travel a bit into the Highland but after a while,.. the dread knight went into the dungeon.
I got a bad feeling about it, so i quickly ran through the Highland, kill the eagle king, that gave me that eagle bird, and i teleported to the ruins.
After that, i ran into the dungeon, and the challenge began who was faster at killing enemies.
There was more speed in the game, and when i was around strength 14 with my dark cultist vs the strength 17 dread knight, who was also going to the LOD, i ran as fast as i could to the dungeon lord. Killing another few enemies for a strength token)15str ). I beat the dungeon lord by casting a spell that gave me another +3 to my strength, and with rolling a 4, my end total was 22. The dungeon lord was rolling a 2, so lucky enough, i landed on the sacred pool, with 4 quest rewards.
It was a nice game, and finally i won the game!
The statistics are as follows:

We play with Random characters, but with one twist, that everyone seems to like a lot. If you draw a character you have played before, then you have to draw again. This works out well, cause everyone can experience each and every character one time. After you have experienced every character one time, then its back to the normal rules. Works good for new people, and it does take a while to go through every character.

Nice idea.
Luckily, i drew dark cultist, Highlander and the gypsy.
I have never played with those 3 characters before.
Next time, i will choose the Highlander if i draw him again.
My group and I always deal the characters at random so it is more fair. The character with the most wins is probably the Monk or the Dark Cultist.

We have played our 16th game today!
It was the Martyress vs Djinn
We have use the dragon expansion and the 2 region boards in this game.
I have to report that drawing tokens was not bad at all.
It goes very fast, and you know how to handle it.
It was a fun game!
The Highland board was used a lot in this game, and my martyress has managed to get 20 gold!!
The funny thing is that she has not spend it! haha
My strategy was to gain the arnkel card, and i have succeed in that mission.
My martyress has not gain much strength in the game, while the djinn was far more stronger than i.
The djinn went into the dragon tower, that came as a shock to me, because i was not ready to surpass the portal of power.
When the Djinn goes into the dragon tower, the only thing what i could do is following him.
For 3 a 4 turns, i could not roll equal or lower than 7, and have lose a strength. In my next turn, i lose a craft, and after that, i try again with strength, and i succeeded, and was moving to the plain of peril.
After the djin's turn, i have used arnkel, teleported to the crown and sacrifice myself with 1 life, and instantly destroy vartrax.
The game took 6 hours, but it was fun!
I hope you can do something with all that gold in the future!
Maybe a academy or something in the city
The statistics are as follows:
1: Assassin/ Prophetess 2 W
2: Wizard 2W/ 1 lose
3: Swashbuckler, Martyress 1 W
4: Warrior, Druid, Warlock. Philosopher 1W/ 1 Lose
5: Dark Cultist, Elf, Dwarf 1 W/ 2 Lose
6: Knight, Dread Knight, Priest, Monk, Djinn 1 Lose
7: Troll, 2 Lose
