Looks good to me, pretty excited a spot was open. Can take weeks to find a pbp game sometimes.  As for where to host it, I'd say either PBPHouse javascript:void(0);/*1302880747023*/ or Nerdbound javascript:void(0);/*1302880723937*/.

PbpHouse has a nicely streamlined forum setting, making it ridiculously easy to navigate, but you have to register and wait for a moderator to approve you (to weed out bots and the like) or just email all the admins again and again.  Nerdbound has a built in dice roller (never used it, but supposedly good) and you don't have to get admin approved.

I'd suggest Nerdbound.

Gurkhal and I are in a game there as well so that will be handy.

Plus Karmadef can use the existing game there as a resource as well. It can be handy to have other games as examples for DM's that aren't steeped in experience. I know they help me!

Sounds good to me, will post up when there is a topic :).  Also, Karmadef, is this your first PBP or just first DMing?

Here is where the game should go.

I'd suggest the following 3 threads:

(name of game) - OOC Discussion

(name of game) - Game Thread

(name of game) - Characters

 Over there as Drace.

So what are we looking to do for character creation? All rolls, Build Point for stats and dice for everything else? Are we going to use the extra rules for armour marks, armour history etc from RoB?

Also, planning to play a DA or Successor (Probably a Consencrator) chapter Devastator. If someone else wants to play a devastator, I can easily step aside and play a different class.

I'm fine with whatever the GM wants.

I'd prefer to keep it "by the book" since I am new to the game.

It's my first PBP, although I have GM'd a few (lol) games before, Dark Heresy,DnD,WoD,nWoD and other systems, the game thats up there at the minute is quite helpful, if you have RoB feel free to use that for Armour mark creation, succesor chapters that are presented in that book are good to go aswell, if someone can link my another Chapter/Succesor that had a decent set of rules I wouldn't be adverse to allowing it. I'd like a good split of roles aswell, we actually have enough to cover all the bases aswell which is cool with everyone.

I would usually roll stats for PnP but I think point build works better for this type of setting, less dice rolling means life = easier? So thats 100 points to spend from base 30 and not spending more than 20 per characteristic. Do you guys have any type of scenario you would like to play in particular? I have The Emporer Protects which I can run if you wish? If not I can sort something else out.

I'm down with whatever you want to play, and got a character nearly down, once there is a forum will post it up and do the rolls for fate, wounds, history and armour type (either Heresy or Corvus due to chapter) etc.

So going with a Consecrator Devastator with a suit of extraordinary relic armour (as per the consecrator charcrea).

I'm there as Ygnar, so what's the word on custom chapters? I'm thinking a modified Raven Guard from Dark Reign, the Raven Nightmare. If not then I'll go with a Flesh Tearer assault marine

Is there much difference between the Raven Nightmare and the Raven Guard shown there, if not go ahead and use them.
