SIgh -- nearly three weeks since the last post. What has become of us. Lazy, I guess.

Well, Saturday night is going to be when we start hosting weekly events again. This Saturday is an LCG only Joust. I've started to tweak and LCG deck, and I know it has issues, but I'll deal with them during play and development.

The League starts officially next Wednesday. I guess I need to contact Rick N at FFG about paying for the Kit. I'd like the participants to pre-pay for their League Core Sets and Chapter Packs, so I know how many, and which ones, to order. I still intend to play Martell for the League. It is going to suck, but I an adamant about Martell being represented in the league somehow. Greyjoy might be an easier build, but I am sticking to my guns. I am going to get A Song of Summer for my Martell deck, and possibly Ancient Enemies. Or else Sacred Bonds and try to trade for Fury of the Sun.

That's funny. I went with Bara for tomorrow night as well. I dry ran the deck a few times, and I know I am not happy with it, but I'll still play it and see what happens.

I figure with Martell in the League I'll want to run a few Targ cards, as I can always sacrifice my ONE SEA to ignore the gold penalty. So, once the league starts, I'll be more than willing to trade for another Sunset Sea or two!

There were only three of us last night -- Khal Viper, Slio9 and myself. KV played Bara-Winter, Slio9 Targ-Summer and myself just Bara (all LCG Only). KV beat us both, and I beat Slio9. None of the decks were that great, but then again we'd only been building them for a few days (or minutes, in the case of Slio9). I think I can enhance my deck better with a few key replacement cards. I need to look at my character vs. non-character ratio, but feel the deck has some promise at this point.

Oh man, It's over now. I've got my Martell LCG deck at near full power and it's ready to roll!

Anyway, I'll be around on Tuesday before I head back down to Winona, so I hope a few people are around for some games, I've got a lot of near decks sitting around that haven't gotten much use.

Well, unless you really wanted to play against me, you didn't waste your time. Jon had to work all night, Seth was in long enough for him and I to get in a league game, and no one else showed. I'm always willing to play, but that's a long way to drive just for one opponent.

I'm not always on on Fridays, so that's why I didn't post. Hopefully you can show up again soon.

why does life have to get in the way of games so f*ing often. :-P

So many vows . . . they make you swear and swear. Defend the king. Obey the king. Keep his secrets. Do his bidding. Your life for his. But obey your father. Love your sister. Protect the innocent. Defend the weak. Respect the gods. Obey the laws. It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or the other.

Wednesday is Rhonda's birthday, and we're playing BSG that night. Then Applebees.

The League is going so-so, as only myself, Brad and Seth have built decks. I've played Seth twice with a 1-1 ranking in te Sparring, and Dan and I sparred twice, plus another game tonight with me going 3-0. Seth had to go back to work, so him and Brad didn't get to play.

For the record Jon, I'm Martell, Seth is Targ and Brad is Baratheon. Brad is getting better, but I still manage to eek out wins. Targ is pretty powerful in Core Set and League (thanks to Ruby Ford CP, and Ancient Enemies with Dragon Thief). My flop was horrible -- a 3 gold cahracter and Open Market, a Martell recursion location that only works during Summer. I knew the game was over right away at that point. I also made at last one major play mistake, but I think it only would have drug out the win for Seth. He had it going on, and I couldn't get the deck to fire.

This week I will most likely buy Winds of Winter, as I really need both Obara Sand and Mance Rayder. Underhanded Assassin and Arthur Dayne are not to be scoffed at either. :) I am pretty sure Brad will break down and get Ancient Enemies. Don't know about Seth.
