It will be interesting to see if anyone at Stahleck "stoops to conquer" now that his decklist is spoiled. Everyone will be running location hate and Dissension, just in case…

Almost 600 views and only 14 responses?! I'm sure Erick wanted a bigger splash than that. lol

Perhaps people have finally gotten wise to his ways?

I'm sure he did. It's pretty obvious that he relishes playing the villain.

ok fine ill come clean. erick hired me to be DCs lovable forum troll counter-villian so that we wouldnt get chased out of every tourney with torches and pitchforks. He pays me in deck surgery.

and now, my favorite quote from last night's global meta game discussion, with name redacted to protect the innocent should he or she not wish to identify themselves:

[11/14/2012 10:07:06 PM] [REDACTED]: the game is just so much more fun these days with dennis involved

Rings, for forgetting to make good on the pledge I weaseled out of him early Saturday to buy me, Rick, and Dennis drinks for making mock of the competitive melee format he so detests;

Really?  By that time I had a good head-start (I have found I can't watch after I lose anymore, I get too crazy) and don't remember much   You three would be the only three I didn't buy drinks for that night…and I think Rick might have gotten one at one point but can't be sure!  Sorry!

Seriously though congrats!  You certainly have a long history of success - even in 'the only game that matters' (Joust).    ~Someday hopefully we can let you in the club of the true winners with Corey…

King eh, very nice...

You might as well laminate a card if you want to put it in your pocket

2009 Joust winner - Dobbler    (Erick was 2nd)

2010 Joust Winner -Alec    (Erick was top 4)

2011 Joust Winner - Zeiler    (Erick was top 4 or top 8, can't remember which)

2012 Joust Winner - Bruno    (Erick was 2nd)

I can type this up and send copies to you if you wish :)

Myself and a friend of mine are buying Erick a Jim Kelly Buffalo Bills throwback jersey and he's so getting that hand delivered to him at Gencon next year. :P

Which I will accept, but then will hand off to the first CA player I trounce that day (God knows there will be many). In fact, we can jus pass it back and forth between DC and CA all day, and the one stuck with it at the end buys the other meta a round post-tourney.

Anyone else feel like DC v SoCal is the 90's East/West Coast Rap Wars reborn by nerds? DCShakur vs. The Notorius B.R.U.N.O.?

I'd rather be Jim Kelly than the guys always watching him. Love Sports!

This rocks, and has become one of my favorite threads in some time.

I don't think Erick got top 4 in 2011, but I was really drunk by that point (Complord FTW!).  ~No one could Top 4 so many straight years

haha, sounds fine to me. Maybe that can be a running gag each year at Gencon. The Joust runnner-up has to wear they jersey for the remainder of their time at Gencon. :)
