New Designer's Diary Update
Published on 25 November 2008 - 16:51:58

Not sure how well the front page news posts work... they seem to cycle fairly quickly.  In order that you don't miss it, FFG Ross Watson has put up a new diary, detailing some recent con events and a preview:
http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=230

In case that "here" is to small for you, this is a PDF preview of Disciples of the Dark Gods here:
http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/dark-heresy/pdf/disciples-of-the-dark-gods-preview.pdf

I, for one, am pleased to see it in FULL COLOR.  In addition, it appears that each evil group will have it's own "what do the players know about..." tables, a GM-Skull Box, and details on the workings of each organization - but broad enough for you to modify them.

What I'm not seeing (and Ross, feel free to confirm/deny) is Important NPCs and example minions.

"Its Dark in the dark when its dark
And we's not eaten fer ages
bring us gobbos, bring us trolls, bring us orcs
that'll do fer a snack!
you lot keep da Jewlz
wot I want instead
is ta find a smelly Orc
'n Kick 'im til e's dead
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh................
Its Dark in the dark when its dark
And we's not eaten fer ages..."

Well, Maethalion, the preview is basically a "teaser." I am very pleased that you like it! Yes, Disciples of the Dark Gods definitely has NPCs and Minions for each of the major cults and organizations you'll find within. :)

John French and Alan Bligh are the writers of Disciples of the Dark Gods, so I will pass on the kudos to them.

Ross, I also enjoyed playing in Jurisdiction at Herocon. Is it available as a PDF anywhere?

Is Disciples of the Dark Gods the first book produced in-house by FFG?

From what I understand it was underworks at BI before the sale. So no, not really.

I think you'll have to ask schoon on that one.

I love the wonky quote code

"In what vessels did they pour forth their polluted essences, in what form did they hope to subjugate the universe, with whose hands do they, even now, reach across the frontiers of space in vain aspirations of conquest? It is both obviously and painfully clear that it is WE who they venerate they wish nothing more than to be like us, to be like Him whose children they envy."
