Come on guys. Lets all get positive on this.

I'll wager a "C" note that before fat-boy, here[that would be me, by the way], turns 48, we'll have that new expansion.

My B-day is December 11th.

 START THE PURPLE!

I don't believe FFG is done with Tide of Iron yet.  Just last week I thought Battlelore was dead and finally they reveal the new expansion.

I've actually decided I'm going to do a second issue of my TOI fanzine, Wave of Steel. If you haven't seen the first issue, it's available in the TOI files section on BGG. I'll try to do an issue whenever I get the urge, or I get tired of waiting for something new. This one will be a 16-pager, with a couple of scenarios, focusing on North Africa. I should have it finished in two or three weeks, and I'll post it on BGG.

I think we should also start a new thread... the "It's Friday Again and There's Still No TOI News" thread...

What makes me angry is that when ToI initially came out FFG posted some videos saying that they would support the game with lots of expansions.

Hell, they can't even update the games website. Its as if the game has been forgotten.

I take it you meant recession. And yes, you are quite right. I think by now we are all used to it, so that it doesn't compute to everyday thought.

I have to chime in here and say that first one was completely off the hook, crazy super good!

As far as the next expansion, I think I figured it out.

Last year, just before GenCon, there was a thread on here that said someone had spotted a promo for the next TOI expansion "Fury of the Bear", reserving a booth or something like that. Then the info was pulled real fast. I think I know why now...they got the year wrong!

It was supposed to be for GenCon 2010, not for GenCon 2009!

Now, before anyone gets a running with this too far, I'm just horsing around, I'm not being serious!

Because one of the guys from FFG got a little sore at me for posting the question in a thread on BGG asking if TOI was discontinued!

Young, Rodger W., Private, 148th Infantry, 37th Infantry Division (the Ohio Buckeyes) born Tiffin, Ohio, 28 April 1918 died 31 July 1943, on the island of New Georgia, Solomons, South Pacific, while singlehandedly attackingdestroying an enemy machine-gun pillbox. I revived this thread on purpose.

Because now we are back in the same situation, even worse, FotB didn't get an Errata/FAQ update so far...

meh...

i know i have contacted FFG on a number of occations finding out when we might see an errata, I have heard back a few time saying they were going to put one out, but tha was nearly a year ago!

I no longer buy anything from FFG I have moved to other game companies that are much better at supporting their games and customers, yet they are much smaller companies.

I still play ToI but it has moved into the background a bit as other games that are so well supported and the companies keep things fresh and exciting seem to hit the table more often.

I just don't understand it.

If done right, they would actually kill Memoir '44 or atleast be a serious alternative for gamers.
But as it is since many many years...

The support for TOI sucks big time.

FFG is too much focused on card, rpg, dust tactics, now star wars stuff...
(don't understand me wrong there, i like many of the released stuff but all those card games and most rpgs)
But whatever, fact is Boardgames like TOI are suffering from it big times...

I guess producing card games and rpgs is cheaper :O

FFG lost it's mainfocus, too much 40k, warhammer fantasy and dust tactis stuff lately.
It's quite boring to look at FFG's site as an boardgamers heart.
Almost never some interesting news since years for an boardgamers heart.

FFG turned too much into a rpg, card game and dust tactics company.

Boardgames are suffering, yes they are suffering...
