I prefer Beowulf: The Legend. It at least has elements of the story wound into the gameplay. The movie boardgame gameplay doesn't have anything to do with Beowulf.

The Legend is a sort of auction game where players mostly try not to bid the least.
The Movie is a mathy game.
I personally prefer the Movie, but I'm willing to play either if they hit the table.
If this hits the FFG sale again I'll pick it up. Maybe even the other one.
