Anyone ever gotten to the point where they fight the Kraken?

Just curious. My gaming partner and I have played this several times and have yet to get to the point of actually fighting the Kraken. We've successfully escaped the submarine twice in all the times we've played the game.

Yes, just yesterday.
However, yesteday we had seven players.
When we play most often, we only have three players. And then, no, we don't normally get to that point.
