How is this with 8?
Published on 24 December 2008 - 17:30:07

Never tried this with 8 players. Is this one game where the more the better? Since I have 8 people expressing interest in playing my new copy of the game, I'm wondering if 8 players is advisable or not.

'There is no hope here or hereafter in the cult of my people,' answered Conan. 'In this world men struggle and suffer vainly, finding pleasure only in the bright madness of battle dying, their souls enter a gray misty realm of clouds and icy winds, to wander cheerlessly throughout eternity.'

Robert E. Howard

Hilarious.

I played with my regular group of 8 and had a great time.  The sub breaks *incredibly* fast, but gets fixed equally fast.  One result is someone usually has a good item for whatever crisis is most pressing.  We ended up with the sub sinking, but it was a very near thing.  Scales very well IMO.

I've played a 6 player and an 8 player. Both were excellent.

I played with 7 and found the game play too slow with people getting easily distracted waiting for their turn. Just my 2 cents.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
