I see a reprint coming - don't know whether something will change or not

Generally speaking, things are not changed in a reprint. Barring a few errata changes to the rules, of course, and I think Citadels has been out long enough that anything that serious has been corrected by now.
If they were planning any serious changes, they would make a new revised edition (see what they did with the new CotDP revised edition for Arkham Horror.)
