Perferred Characters from the Expansion?!?

I have been playing this with my children over the past few weeks and we adore this game so much...
The Citadels we purchased contained the expansion (extra characters...)
Has anyone got a prefered 1-9 characters they play?
We have taken out the assassin for the Tax collector and also switched in the Navigator.
We have also alternate the Queen and Artist for fun...

We almost always use the Emperor over the King. We never use the Queen (her benefit is too random and usually difficult to predict.) Thief/Tax Collector is about 50/50, likewise Warlord/Diplomat. We generally prefer the Assassin to the Witch.
