Good paint jobs both! Wish I had the time (or inclination) to paint my game models myself. That definitely makes the game much better IMO.

Great job on the figures.  I have a friend (who is more skilled then I) working on painting my set.  Once he is complete I will upload some pictures of them.

Hmmm... my server appears to be dead... happens every now and again (I host it in my house, so it's not incredibly stable). Should be back up in an hour.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one Heck Bent on painting these.

I set a personal goal of finishing them over the holidays, before debuting the Revised Talisman to my gaming group.

(Who've been playing the Game since the First Edition, 10 to 20 times a year....  Tough crowd to please.)

Needless to say, they were thrilled, with both the New Rules, and the New Figs.

What do YOU think of these?

Great work Edwort! I especially like the Toads.

The same offer/request applies to any figures painted and shown here. If you would like some of your work featured as part of the miniatures section at Talisman Island, then please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

These are just fantastic. I have a painting style that allows me to paint them fairly rapidly " for me anyway " but they lack that bold contrast you have with these.... Bravo to these three groups... Can't wait till next check as that is when I plan on getting these...

The paint job looks great but whats the deal with the game board on the last photo? It looks like it was misprinted and doesn't match up correctly.

where's my lucky dice?

Thanks!  The board is the BI version, which splits down the middle.

You know, I really do like what you have done with those Toads. They look like they are mounted on slate....

Please tell me that you live just down the road from me and you need some figures to paint!

reddz, kalle and Edwort

I was wondering if there was any progress on getting some images taken of these great paint jobs, assuming you are interested in displaying them of course!

No pressure, but I think they'd be a great addition to the site!

Sorry. I'm trying but I'm having some issues between finding the time to take them and setting up the right light and getting my camera to focus properly... silly thing.

Hello,

For all the aspiring painters out there:

http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=28

This is an article on painting the Descent figures, but the plastic is the same.

Another excellent site out there for miniature painting is http://brushthralls.com/

Most of the stuff listed is for metal minis, but they have amazing tips on shading, highlighting, dry brushing... the list goes on.

I just picked up the revised edition a week ago and have been toying with the idea of painting the minis. This thread is great. Awesome job by all.

I have read a few detailed web sites for beginner painters, but I still have a question. How do you blend one color in with into another so there is a blurred line- like say, the white underbelly of the frog into the green of its body?

Good job! Me and my girlfriend are thinking of doing the same, so it's cool to see another couple that has done this.
