First, I really like the simplicity of Kingsburg. It makes it a fun game to play when you are looking for light hearted afternoon hangouts.
Does the new expansion add any new game elements that make it a MUST BUY for playing with Kingburg? I ask because the images seem to just depict more buildings.

Its a must buy. The soldier system improves the whole end of year combat dramatically, the new buildings add a little replay to the mix. The destiny cards give the game abit more chaos and the role cards make things abit more exciting.
Generally it perfects the game, and since its modular you can pick and choose what you like and don't like.
