FFG's epic game of dungeon-delving adventure!
We are unsure how to handle the appraiser skill in RTL when there is a market shortage in town. If the market value is 2 and there is a market shortage, does the players get 1 or 2 items to look at? We've been playing that the person still gets to look at 2 items.

From the FAQ:
Q: How does Appraisal (from Altar of Despair) interact
with the new market and treasure rules?
A: When visiting the market, Appraisal may be used only
if the hero visiting the market has the skill. Appraisal may
be used on any chest that produces one or more treasures,
regardless of whether or not hero with Appraisal is the one
who opened the chest.

To clarify this further (it was late when I answered): The Appraiser would draw one extra card, look at all and put one back. So, he gets to see one extra, but up for purchase is the current amount indicated by the Market Value minus Market Shortages.
