Crates of Krayts in the core book?
Published on 29 January 2013 - 02:38:49

Hello,

May be this has already been addressed but, is the scenario anounced for the core book going to be the same as the one in the beta book?

Cheers,

For ease of reference, if you don't see the information on FFG's main page for the EotE, then figure it's not been announced.

So currently, there's been no word on what the scenario in the corebook might be.  Personally, I doubt it's going to be Crates of Krayts, but that remains to be seen.

Only War, another book that went through the FFG "beta" process in a similar manner as EotE (besides EotE being a hard copy, but thats more a licensing thing), contains the same module in the released book as was seen in the beta copy.

I think its pretty likely it will be Crates of Krayts.

From the news, it looks like there will be a different adventure in the core book.

Will they reprint Crates of Krayts then? or may be release it as a free online material for an introductory scenario?

I just scanned the Table of Contents preview posted on the "10 questions" article.  The last chapter in listed is title "Trouble Brewing".  The other chapters have pretty clear titles, while this chapter is pretty vague, and Crates of Krayts was also the last chapter in the Beta Book.

While its not the only possible conclusion, making the assumption that "Trouble Brewing" will be the new intro adventure would seem to be a pretty safe logical conclusion.

Sam Stewart also confirmed on the order 66 podcast that the core book would have a new adventure and I think we can be pretty confidant that 'Trouble brewing' is it.
