Let's talk about something much less inflammatory. How about Jar Jar? :)

I think we already have a thread for that.  The "Races?" thread pretty much devolved into a pro-/con- gungan discussion.

Yep I was being sarcastic. Trying to add some levity since there has been some heated debating at these forums lately getting out-of-hand (myself included) even though I assume we are ALL Star Wars and RPG fans since we visit here.

Hey!

After reading throught the Beta book I have started to prepare the beginers box scenario for my group of players. I am very excited since I don't remember the last time I was a GM in a non-fantasy RPG.

After talking to my players I have realize that we want (need) a bit more "jedi presence" in our games than the one presented in the book, and of course we don't want to wait until they release the core book covering the Jedis sonreir

So, is there a place where I can look at the different homebrewed jedi rules that other people have done? I am looking for something that covers Jedi powers up to Padawan level more or less. No more is needed, no Jedi Knights or fancy things, Padawan level will do.

Is there a set of house rules that shines above the others? Any recomendation?

Cheers,

Yepes

Came across this one and it looks pretty good.

Of the options presented so far, DarthGM/Phil's Jedi Career is probably the best by far.  It doesn't cover everything you see Jedi doing, but it largely uses talents from the Beta, so there's far less chance of game-breakage by way of unbalanced and untested talents.

I'm putting the finishing touches on my own homebrew expansion for the Force.  It's not a Jedi-only supplement, but rather a moderate broadening of the options out there for Force-users, and by no means was I am aiming to create a laundry list of Force powers.  I also put it through a significant amount of playtesting, and had some very sharp minds take a look at it for anything that could still be problematic or horrendously broken even after the playtesting.  And then playtested that when and where I could to ensure the changes suggested did what the suggestor intended.

How big is this book going to be that meets everyone's needs? It's already 450 pages. Should we make it 750?

Uh, I'm newish here and don't really know what we're all upset about, but…um, yes…

Do what you want, just don't get any on me.

Sadly, levity doesn't appear to be much appreciated on these forums, especially with such "serious business" topics as Jedi or the lack there-of.

If it isn't a big deal, just make with the Jedi already.

Chedder, gouda, montery jack, mozzarella? What's a good cheese to go with that?

From LethalDose's link:

"Taking heed of comments on their own forums that Edge of the Empire games simply didn’t feel “epic enough” or sufficiently capture the “larger than life” aspects of the movies…"

Huh?  My son and I are plenty impressed.  This game (beginner set) is a hoot right from the get-go.  Anything more "epic" and I'd feel like I was playing a cartoon.
