Overpowered strategy
Published on 11 January 2009 - 18:06:12

Me and my gaming group played DUST twice yesterday and, due to my use of the "Secret Weapon" card, we came to the conclusion that it, according to the rules, would be possible to take a Capitol defended by 20 tanks, 10 mechs, 15 fighters and 5 bombers using a single tank.

Shouldn't this be considered a too powerful tactic to be allowed? On capitols at least.

Hey Fnoffen,

I sent a support question regarding rules shortly after our game session, and got a reply yesterday regarding this issue:

To quote FFG:

"I have issued an errata (it has not gone up on the website yet, but it will shortly) that Secret Weapon may not be used to attack capitals. As you note, this is an overpowered ability.

Thanks!"

So it seems that we wont have to make any house rules next time, as it now will be in the errata :)

Yeah, that was sounding like an instant win card.

For the emperor!

DL the FAQ.

It's no longer allowed to use Secret Weapons against capitals.
