Wtf?
Already making Akamatsu Mem Chip & Access to Global Sec useless?
These cards were barely played as is, and you already including something that is better?
I thought the 1st release and core set were planned together, so why would you make those 2 so weak if you were planning to release Dyson so early

It may be better, but it doesn't make the previous cards useless, since you can put both in your deck.
Create your Dust Warfare force with the Dust Warfare Force Builder
Why wouldn't you? Get your Link high enough and you can all but ignore any Ice with a Trace on it. People invest far too much into breaking expensive subroutines when they could build a proper rig that allows them to just ignore them for free.

I agree with Talamare. Both Access to Globalsec and Akamatsu are just so… non-essential. Then this comes along. The only advantage the former two have is being cheaper at the cost of a card slot, and they're not that much cheaper than Dyson.
There's also a whole bunch of other cards that cover what AtG and Akamatsu do. To be fair, they also cover what Dyson does as well.
Then there's the Shapers' new cloud programs, and their new rebelling-from-its-Corp-masters friend…
You call it 'thievery'. I call it 'social justice'.

It's really useful if you need both MU and link, but if you don't, why spend two extra credits for an effect you don't actually want? The fact that Globalsec is a resource is annoying enough that you might not want it to be your first line of defense aganst traces, but if you're a cash-starved Anarch, are you really going to spend three times as much per point of link just to make it harder for the corp to Posted Bounty/Freelancer you? And as Shaper, even if I did want to increase both my MU and my link, I'd probably go with Akamatsu and Rabbit Hole before Dyson.
