FFG has a lot of games to promote; it's probably unreasonable to expect a much more frequent publishing schedule. It takes time to plan and write them, so they need to stick to a reasonable publishing schedule that also doesn't clutter up their front page news feed, so people who don't stop by every day have a chance to take in what the company has been up the past week or two instead of being presented with a feed full of spoiler articles from the past 24 hours for games they might not even care about.

"Plenty" as in what 5? out of 40 new ones?

In wow tcg (in the old days when I played it) there was a sneak preview every 3 days starting one month prior to the release of new set. True, there were about 100 new cards, but still. It was like Xmas, running home (there was much less mobile internet in that time) to read the new spoiler. I miss that feeling, and I think that this game would benefit greatly from such a thing.

They spoiled 7 out of 20 cards for What Lies Ahead - Whizzard, Cortez Chip, Stronger Together, Mandatory Upgrades, Ash, Caduceus and Draco.

The game is just a parallel universe my mind travels to. Once there I meet other minds, then the true magic happens.

I am not saying that they should promote, you simply send the picture to one of the many people who are capable and willing to write the article.

You can't think, talk, or debate about the 200+ cards that we already have out? It must be hard…

This game, while still new, came out some time ago. I, for one, have talked about everything I wanted from the first day up until now. Not to mention that some of the cards are not even debatable (codebusting and sure gamble for instance).

His point was that before it was released we knew 7 out of the 20 cards. Which is 35%. If we were to compare that to WoW TCG we will use War of the Ancients since it is the most recent set as an example, it has 270 cards, 35% of that would mean that CZE would reveal 95 cards (94.5 technically but you cannot reveal half of a card really). CZE typically previews an epic or a rare for each class plus a few for each of the 3 factions. Then a few to the affiliate sites, still I don't think it is that much of the set. We get full spoilers of WoW sets typically after a sneak peek event has been done prior to the official release date.

Not quite. First thing we need to mention is that cards in these two games are very diffrent. While there are more cards in wow, most of them do nothing particularly interesting and do nothing to change the basic flow of the game. In Netrunner on the other hand, every card imapcts the game greatly. The rares and the epics are what define the game for the current set, we "could" simply ignore the commons. And we do see quite a lot of them in sneak peeks (roughly every third epic/rare was spoiled).

7 cards out of 20 is fine by me (altough one or two more couldnt hurt). Im just saying that ffg does not put (at least for me) enough emphasis on spoiling the cards. Not to mention that some of the spoils come from sources they shouldn't be coming.

As a judge, tournament organizer and champion of the black flame for WoW TCG I am aware of the differences. However the packs are only 20 cards so they can only spoil so much before it is excessive. They don't need to spoil every card, where is the fun in that. And 35% is a lot. Some of the fun is opening the pack and seeing the other cards not previewed. Also I don't think they need to spoil anything for the game really, it is doing fine on it's own, it is on it's 2nd reprint already.

You think they should spoil more cards.  The thing is, where, when does it stop?  Soon the amount that they spoil won't be enough, you'll still want them to spoil more.  Then when they start spoiling entire packs at a time, it won't be enough, you'll want a pack in advance spoiled.

See, that's the thing about entitlement and feeling like you're owed something.  That feeling is like a hole, it always needs to be fed and never fills.  You can keep giving it what it wants, but it always wants more and more until finally, it consumes you as well.

When is it enough?  Who decides?

This is just, like, my opinion man.

This has been bugging me, so I just want to reply to get it out of my system.

You say that more card spoilers would be a good thing. OK, that's fine, that's an opinion, as are the counter-arguments offered. In reality they are all expressions of individual viewpoints - the only facts available are:

- Not all cards get spoiled before release

- The company controlling the spoiler release has an established methodology which works for them, and which they adhere to

There are no factual conclusions I can see which can be drawn from those premises (although some are more "right" than others; saying FF would be unlikely to change an established model which works for them is a pretty safe one, for example).

Anyway, moving along. Once a data pack has been released, it has no spoilers. Everything is out in the wild, and able to be seen. So it has no bearing on if we should more, less, or the same spoilers in each data pack.
