Aside from what's already in the rulebook, what are some good tips for deck building? I only have one core set, I might get another one, don't really have the money to blow on a second one with sleeves at the moment anyway. I've got a custom HB deck and a custom Anarch deck, but both proved to have their issues when played against someone just using core set decks. Advice?

Can you elaborate on the issues you referenced towards the end of your commentary?

Now we have a deckbuilding subforum. Hmmm.
Anyway, I kind of dismantled and reassembled the custom decks I previously made, but still kind of have issues. Particularly with my corp side. Anything in parentheses is either neutral (N), or out of faction.

Both decks run at 49 cards, which seemed a good enough deck size, though for the corp that was kind of necessary.

With playing many games of Netrunner you need a lot of money, possible money making cards. Another thing in your deck is card drawing. Or some kind of acceleration which might be giving you an ongoing credit, or decreasing ICE or programs, or anything that helps your deck.
With your decks they should have 3 of a kind if you can, to be able to draw the card you want. And you should have a theme to your deck trace, or damage, or virus distribution.

Thanks for posting your deck contents but what specific problems are you having?
Try slimming down your decks to the minimum of 45. 4 cards less may not seem like much a difference while giving you some hard card choices to make, but slim decks tend to work faster and more reliably by increasing the chances to draw certain cards.

Your Corp deck looks pretty good. I would drop the 2x Anonymous Tip for 1x Neural Katana, but that's just me. Chum + Neural Katana protecting a thrice advanced Junebug? Delicious.
Your Runner deck looks like a pretty decent Anarch virus build. Definitely drop 2x Crypsis and 2x Access to Globalsec - neither one is worth it in this build. That will get you down to 45 cards. Personally, I would also drop 2x Diesel (since you have Wyldside in the deck) and 1x Forged Activation Orders for 3x Maker's Eye to really make those Medium-fueled runs on R&D hurt bad.
Sometimes force of will is the only thing that holds your rig together…
