 Greetings,

Anyone else in the Chicagoland area picking this up and playing it?  I've been having a blast playing this since grabbing it at Gen Con.

Not exactly Chicagoland -- I'm about two hours south of the city proper.  But I have a daughter in suburban Cook County so I have reason to get up to the area every so often.  Will keep an eye on this thread!

Older than dirtproud of it!

Do you game at Games Plus in Mount Prospect?

A bunch of people who show up on Thursday nights for gaming bought the core set last week (including myself).

I'm having tons of fun with it so far.

Cat & Mouse Game Store in the city (2212 W. Armitage Ave.) [where I work] held a learn-to-play event this weekend with 10 players. We'll be holding monthly events and I'm sure I can be talked into playing more often than that.

Sounds great!  Post something the next time you might meet up there and I can see if I can make it work.

@ Scud -- that sounds awesome.  I've never been to Cat & Mouse but am definitely interested in a monthly event.

Looking for some players as well. I live up near dice dojo and often play there. Ive heard really good things about Cat & Mouse but Ive never been. If there's a planned meet up at either location just let me know and I'll be there.

Same here. If there is a meet-up in the near future I'll make my way to either store.

I'm up on the Northside, and usually play at Chicagoland Games, but I'm willing to jump down to C&M if there's a regular 'running group.

Looks like C&M is starting up a Netrunner League this coming Sunday 9/30 at 1pm.  Registration is free.

This is from their facebook page:

"This Sunday, September 30th, Cat & Mouse Game Store will open the first season of its brand-new Android: Netrunner league. The fetivities will start at Noon with a Learn-To-Play session where you can get a crash course on the rules and give the game a try before the opening of League play at 1pm. From 1pm - 5pm we'll be getting people signed up for the League and have plenty of open tables to play your first games! Can't be here at 1pm? No problem, just drop by anytime in the afternoon, sign up, and play a game or two! Oh, and did we mention it's FREE to join the League?

League play will be based on FFG's official Android: Netrunner tournament rules. Each League match will consist of two games, with each player playing once as the Runner and once as the Corp (we won't be enforcing any time limit on the games, though), so you have to come with one Runner deck and one Corp deck ready to play. You get 10 points for winning a game, and a number of points equal to the Agenda points you scored/stole if you lose the game. The player with the higher score after both games wins the match. Standings will be kept (wins and losses as well as total points scored). At the end of each season, there will be a Championship with prizes!

In addition to the Season Championship, we will also be giving out Achievements for playing certain Corps/Runners, playing specific cards, and more. Collecting Acheivements will unlock other cool prizes!"

Sorry I didn't post about this sooner, been a crazy couple of days.

Looking for a game group in the area still for LCGs? Netrunner, Warhammer Invasion, Etc? Im looking to start something on 10/20 at games plus in Mount Prospect. Ive always been the beer and pretzel player so once we get a solid group Id be willing to host late night games or find a venue that would. If you are interested PM me at Budbundy or email me at bretteweber@yahoo.com and leave me your email so I can ad you to the groups mailing list. Im also working on a website for the group as well that people can post events!
