Looking good and I'm ready for Free RPG day on the 16th.

For any FFG folks who are monitoring these forums … can we get 2 additional PCs posted online? It has been FFG's policy in the past to provide 2 additional PCs for the free RPG day scenario online a week or two before the event. It would be nice if you could do that for this one as well, so I can offer a choice of PCs to the players and can easily handle up to 6 players, without needing to fudge or home-generate PCs.

By the way, from that cover it looks like we'll get a Commissar, a (Sentinel) driver, an Ogryn and some kind of generic Catachan badass to play with. Is that right?

i also hope for extra characters, for at the moment the only option for healing is a npc. i am going to say no to any sort of officer or commisar showing up, simply due to how many times the adventer harps on your low rank as a guardsman.

my two hopes are medic and or a generic guardsman( at the monent not a single person starts with a lasgun )

As of yet, I have only skimmed the adventure.

However, I'm not sure what htsmithium is saying. I know for a fact that one of the four PCs has the Medicine skill.

Sure, he's not a "medic" profession, but he can work as a healer.

Cifer: I'm not sure how much information I should/can divulge ahead of time.  I'll simply say for now that you are correct for 2 of the 4 PCs.

As for the additional PCs.  Any other year, I'd agree.  But this year they've been so slow about any updates or previews at all I only give it a 50-50

I wouldn't hope too much for additional NPCs. With Black Crusade FFG dropped the free follow-up adventure, I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the additional NPCs this time.

By the way, am I the only one who thinks that it's funny how they put a commissar and a Catachan into the same group? I'm pretty sure I remember a rule from an old codex where commissars in Catachan armies had to roll to see if they would turn up for the battle or would be indisposed due to some kind of "accident". So, the commissar is going to shoot whoever fails a willpower test, unless the commando kills him first.

 The four pregens are a Heavy Gunner, a Weapons Specialist, an Enginseer and an Ogryn. 

I'm looking forward to seeing a couple of extra characters for when I run this at FRPG Day. The more players the merrier!!!:) I love the pic for the Heavy Gunner, FFG.:) Ripley FTW!

Rather than hold my breath waiting for official extra characters, I thought I'd start work on one (or two) myself. Taking a little longer than I'd hoped…

Geez folks, the bonus characters are up already. They are a ratling, comissar and ogryn. It looks like Dark Heresy level power-level with BC rules from what is in the supplement
