Ive read most threads considering those minis and in all of them it seems the manufacturing costs are greatly exaggerated. My son can buy a plastic bag of 20-30 single coloured plastic animals or dinosaurs for about 2 euro. What's that, like 3 dollars? and those are pretty much the same level of detail as the figures I got in descent.

They can also run off thousands of those things at a time.  Manufacturing in bulk can do wonders to cut costs.  Plus, I don't think it's the same type of plastic, if they're the same as the ones I've seen over here.  (Personally I think I'd like that kind of plastic better since it's harder, but I'm assuming FFG has a reason for the kind they chose.)

I can't speak for other threads, but the numbers I was quoting up above in this thread were based on the actual prices FFG is currently selling miniature packs for in other game lines.  I think it stands to reason any 1E monster packs would be sold at a similar price, if FFG did decide to make such a thing.  Maybe a bit cheaper if they aren't pre-painted (like the actual examples I was using are), but I doubt it would be a lot cheaper.

Problem solved.  Borrow a few dinos from your son -- T. Rex or Raptor can proxy for Lieutenants, Bronto for a Crypt Dragon, etc.  No need to buy those expensive FFG minis.

Dino 1: Yes… Yes… This is a fertile land and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land and we will call it… This Land.
Dino 2: I think we should call it your grave!
Dino 1: Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
Dino 2: Ha ha ha, mine is an evil laugh, now die!

I think if they brought them out, I know i would buy them but would rather them be unpainted.
