A second edition request

Just a brief request here. Please, please FFG, package this thing better than you did Descent 1st edition. Have  couple of inlays or slots for the many cards, chits, models or any anything else. Because playing Descent 1e without a tackle box? Nightmare. That is all.

My Descent box (and Doom and a few others) is packed full of thin, plastic tackle/craft boxes.  It would be nice if that weren't necessary, but with the volume and variety of tokens and figures, it's hard to avoid.

It would be a hard blow for all those sellers of tackle boxes if FFG would include some serious inlay slots into Descent ;-)

No FFG comes with a nice way to store it.  Certainly some are better than others, but you kind of have to make up your own solution.

I've actually grown somewhat fond of the tackle box solution, myself.  I can set up the bins to suit whatever's in the box, and if/when an expansion comes out, I can change it as needed to make everything fit.

If FFG were to include a decent storage solution right out of the box I certainly wouldn't complain about it, but I can get along even without said consideration.

The only thing that really makes me hope for a good storage solution to come with the game is square box.  It won't hold a collection of tackle boxes as well as the long box does.

I think the chance of FFG doing this for 2nd Edition is 0%.  I really wish they would though, it get's expensive buying Planos for all their games.  That and Earth Reborn proved to me it is very possible to make an organized storage solution ship with the game even when it is chock full of components.  I really wish FFG would take a page out of Z-Man's book there.

I bought the core set of 1e and the 1st expac, like everyone else, I have it in a huge tackle box as well. Thankfully I saw a video on that some where before I bought the game. I whole heartedly agree with something to keep things organized in the box. I love taking the boxes along with me cause the art on them is great.

That's kind of funny you mention Earth Reborn.  Even after looking at that storage setup and packing it up it still needed a plano box to hold all the smaller components and minis.  It's not really all the expensive for tackle boxes when you think about how much you have invested in a game with so many pieces.

I was hoping for a 3 part story, myself. Horus is a good guy. Horus becomes a bad guy. Horus gets grounded by his dad. Done and done.

You used a tackle box for Earth Reborn?  What on earth for?  I found a place for everything in the included storage kit.

I at least put all the different little markers (door key cards etc.) in a small tackle box. It makes finding them while playing A LOT easier and faster. I do agree that ER box is one of the best when it comes to storage solutions.

Are you serious????

I use 3-4 little bags that comes with the box. One for the keys, one for the timer, one for the command points/dmg market and put them on top of the upper right section of the box. Seriously using plano box for this little chits is just uncalled for you are just storing too much for too little you add more junk when you dont need to. Most of these chits are used BEFORE the scenario anyway and the bank of damage/command points should be placed somewhere as a pile before the game starts anyway. I honestly don't see how you justify adding a plastic box in Earth Reborn insert.

Check out youtube and find out how to store Earth Reborn I am just shocked how you burned your box even more when everything is easily stored there without any extra plastic besides the bags which come already with the game.

Yup I'm serious. I just find it better to have all the little markers and the dice in one really small plano box instead of using those plastic bags. Matter of preference I guess. It's not needed, but I like it this way. I pimped up the miniature holder-section as well and replaced the plastic thingy with foam "sandwich" to protect my painted miniatures better. I do agree that the ER case is a piece of art and very well designed. To get something like that with D2 would be awesome.

My solution was getting all the expansions and then sorting different items into different boxes, and within each box separating into different plastic bags. Main box got all the monster minis, another box got all the map pieces, another all the cards, another all the various tokens, and another all the extra stuff that we don't need for the current RtL campaign. Although I certainly understand those who want to use a tacklebox, it makes sense, I just found my solution naturally and so didn't need to spend money on one.
