Pod-building Mechanic: Do you like it?
Published on 21 August 2012 - 21:46:13

I want to get a read on how many are for, and how many are opposed, to the pod-based deckbuilding mechanic of this game. Please, do not elaborate on your response beyond a simple "yes" or "no," as this has been allowed in previous "poll-taking" topics and proven to do nothing but dilute the thread with discussion and arguing. Said discussions and arguments are available in other threads, to engage in at your convenience.

And when we hear the truth, even if we don't understand it, we feel that truth resonate within us…vibrating with our unconscious wisdom. Perhaps the truth is not learned by us, but rather, the truth is re-called…re-membered…re-cognized…as that which is already inside us."   Peter Solomon, The Lost Symbol

No, I don't like it (though I will emit that I might end up liking it once I start using it).

Yes, I see the potential here to get a lot of gameplay with friends this way.

 Yes, I like pod-building.

I like the idea alot.  It will be easier to get my non deckbuilding friends to give this a shot.

Yes.  I believe it has promise(especially because I take forever to assemble and build decks).

Yes for me as well. I know it's new/different from what we're used to for card games but I think it will be pretty awesome.

On the fence, but I can see it working.

No, with a caveat. If they eventually have enough objectives with overlapping card sets, maybe. In other words, if there are enough objectives that give you ways to mix cards up in almost any combination.

I'll chime in:

Yes. And I was swayed to this opinion after being staunchly opposed, at approximately 2:57 p.m. CT today (thank you, Budgernaut!).
