Hi. Just wanted to ask someone who has played this game if it's as good as the LOTR LCG? Better? Worse?

 It doesn't come out 'til next year.

Until it does come out, it will be difficult to compare.  First impressions seem to me to indicate a very similar style game.  If that is the case, it will probably come down to preference of theme.  Do you prefer Fantasy or Sci Fi?  Taking 'Dominion' as an example, it started the whole 'deck building' genre which spawned many copies.  Some seemed to improve on the original, but others fell short.  Different themes also seemed to have attracted some people but put off others.  So much is personal taste.

Nothing can be done about peoples preferences in theme, but what FFG has a great opportunity to do here is to 'correct' any of the 'flaws' that most people dislike with LOTR.  Personally, I think LOTR is a great game - with a few expected flaws in a first effort - but SW will have to go some to beat it as it looks well established now.  I shall watch SW carefully, but I am not sure my budget will cover 2 similar style games.  We shall see.  Cheers!
