Which Lambda Class Shuttle?
Published on 29 January 2013 - 20:37:47

With my purchases for X-Wing I am looking to get one of the Lambda-class shuttles from either Hallwark or from F-Toys.  But I was wondering which one do people prefer?  From other threads it seems that they are both pretty close to the approriate scale.  What are the pluses and minuses of each?

The Hallmark one lights up and plays the Imperial March.

I have the Hallmark Shuttle and it is 1/265 vs 1/270 in scale, virtually unnoticable.

yeah,

I posted this info deeper in the forum.
 I've bought the Lamda from Hallmark and measured it up.

Using Force.nets measurements converted to FFGs X-Wing 1/270 scale;
Length: 67mm………………. . . . . . the Hallmark Shuttle is 75mm - - - 8 mm too long - - 11.9%
Height: 115 mm wings down…. the Hallmark Shuttle is 122mm - - 7 mm too tall - - - 6%
Width: 118 mm wings down…. . the Hallmark Shuttle is 120mm - - 2 mm too wide - -1.6%

I do think this is as close as we are getting until FFG release their version??!?

The Hallmark one is closest to scale but is quite pricy for something you will be replacing soon (Hopefully). The F-toys one is passable stopgap piece at a reasonable price.

I think the Hallmark has gone up in price in the last 6 months.  If you happen to have had one in with your Christmas decorations for the last 5 years, like me though, it's a nice bonus that it works for this game.

Thanks for the inputs.  Does anyone have the actual measurements of the F-Top model?
