Starter ships vs Booster ships
Published on 16 August 2012 - 23:18:52

Is there any difference between the TIE fighters and X-wing that come in the starter versus the booster pack versions?  Are the paint schemes as well as the pilot/upgrade option cards in the boosters identical to the starter set equivalents?  Just curious to see what if any difference there is between the two.

We already know from some GenCon attendees that the pilots are different. As for the minis, not sure. I would assume they are the same, though.

It'd be nice if there's a little variation in the paint schemes, just for colour. Maybe not on the TIE, I guess, but they could certainly take a little liberty with the X-wing…

Why… are these boards… so… slooooooow?

Thanks.  I took a look over at BGG and found some listing of what comes with each pack.  Pilots, abilities (like swarm tactics), and droids are different between the starter set figs and their booster set variants (about 1/3 to 1/2 different).  I don't know about the minis though.

Models are the same, generic piloys are the same, named pilots are different
