Tesla weapons

When using tesla weapons say range 6.  How do we decide which units inbetween are hit?  Is it always a straight line from source to target or can you pick your path by counting squares because there can be many paths to same target when counting for line of sight.

Thanks

Has to be a straight line, if it wasn't then the target wouldn't actually be in the way of the shot.

This is an issue that was never really addressed, and it's been a problem ever since the Fireball's range 3 napalm thrower. Yes, you hit everything in a straight line, but as the example for the Hot Dog's napalm thrower in the rulebook shows, you can still pick WHICH squares that the line crosses are affected. WIth range 2 it wasn't a big issue, since you didn't have that many options, but with range 3 and now range 6, it becomes quite complicated, and they really should address it. Specially since these weapons should supposedly also hit friendly units who are in the way.
