Magnetizing Walkers

I know this isn't about painting, but I figure I can sneak a modelling question in here.

I'm looking at magnetizing my Axis light and medium walkers' arms for quick switch-offs, what size of rare earth magnets should I use. I've seen people with 1/8 x 1/16 size, is that the one I should use?

Honor, Duty, Valor…all good but I need my payment if you want some lead flying towards your enemies…
